Area in One State Received Violations for Nearly Every Nursing Home Facility

In one specific zone in one state, almost every nursing home facility received violations for health and/or safety standards regarding the well-being of their residents.  Out of the sixty-four nursing homes in the recently open reports, only two in this area did not receive a single violation.  According to an article, the average number of violations was over ten and a half per facility.

Among the violations for one specific facility included failure to protect each resident from physical, mental, and sexual abuse; failure to provide enough food and fluids to maintain a resident’s health; and failure to provide safe and appropriate pain management for a resident.  According to that facility, the home took immediate preventative measures to assess, re-train, and re-educate its employees.  For more, read the story.
