Attorney General Emphasizes Three Criminal Cases in Efforts to "Eliminate Elder Abuse"
One state’s Attorney General is working to raise awareness for the care, safety, and well-being of local seniors. Three separate criminal cases regarding elder abuse were mentioned in light of this cause. Two of the mentioned cases involved nursing home aides allegedly disregarding patients’ care plans, causing injuries to the patients. The last case mentioned involved the embezzlement and exploitation of a family member for whom the accused was guardian and conservator.
“These three cases illustrate the incredible importance of our Elder Abuse Task Force and the need for community awareness, dialogue and solutions to help eliminate elder abuse,” the state’s Attorney General stated. For more, read the story.
