Claims Of Abuse Lead To Trial For Nursing Home

Former nursing home employees will appear in court for charges of abuse including first degree criminal abuse, forth-degree assault, and knowingly abusing or neglecting an adult and wanton endangerment.  Claims against the nursing home were made by two patients that allegedly were slapped, dropped naked in bed, and had a gloved finger and soap put in their mouth. The employees were charged  following an investigation by police, the Office of Inspector General, and adult protective services.

The two victims are identified as victims in court records. The nursing home is accused of medical and corporate negligence and violation of the residents rights statute. For more, read the story.
