Family Expresses Present Concern with Nursing Home Conditions, Mentions Relative's Prior Experience
One family is sharing a personal story following the recent report that exposed several nursing home facilities nationwide for habitual inadequate care. According to a woman, her mother-in-law experienced alleged neglect at one of the nursing home facilities that made the disheveled list. The daughter-in-law had reported neglect several years ago after her relative developed a large pressure ulcer on her back while in the facility’s care.
“We need the state to do something; we need the federal government to do something, and I think the only good solution is to have better regulations,” the woman stated in a report, disheartened that the facility’s conditions have seemingly not improved. For more, read the story.
