Flu Strikes Hard at Assisted Living Facility
At least 20 patients staying at one assisted living center were taken to area hospitals after becoming ill Friday morning. This was the latest of several viral outbreaks the facility has been dealing last week.
The company who owns the assisted living facility, says their facility is one of four area facilities experiencing the outbreak. Vice President of Operations and Development says his staff is taking extra precautions to make sure everyone is safe.
"The residents are being served meals in their rooms for the next 72 hours on paper products," he said, "There is a sign on the door, so we urge friends and family to just stay away until the virus is contained." For more, read the story.
