Increased Nursing Home Incidents Reveal Risk Of Injuries And Death
An audit of nursing homes in one state reveal that incidents causing injuries and risk of death are on the rise. Over the past few years, the number of incidents has risen significantly. Some of the issues also point to lack of accountability through surveys and citations from the state health department.
"Together, these oversight failures increase the risk that nursing facilities may not provide adequate care to some of the state's most vulnerable residents," wrote the state auditor. For more, read the story.
