Nursing Home Administrator Charged Woth Stealing From Patients
A former nursing home administrator has been charged with stealing $217,000 from nursing home patients. She admitted to supporting her gambling habits with money taken from residents trust accounts. She wrote herself checks or wrote checks to cash in order to steal the money.
Crimes against the elderly are appalling and will never be tolerated by my office,” said the attorney general in a release. “Residents of nursing homes are in vulnerable positions and those charged with residents’ care have the duty to protect them.
