    A former nursing home employee made a plea deal after being charged on two counts with sexually assaulting a patient. The former employee was sentenced to 18 months in prison.     The CMS has released additional quality measures related to reimbursement rates for nursing home patients. If they do not report on them or report poor outcomes of the measures, they can suffer a reduced reimbursement rate from Medicare.     A recent study shows that patients experience a higher rate of neglect at for-profit nursing homes than non-profit nursing homes. The study reviewed 1,150 seniors treated at 5 hospitals in a large city.
