  • Nursing Home Fails To Report Abuse Of Patient, Lawsuit Ensues

    A nursing home facility failed to report an incident involving the abuse of a patient after being made aware. The incident took place in a patient's room, where two nursing assistants strapped the patient to her bed after blocking her from leaving her room and then dragging her across the floor.   • Nursing Home Employee Reports Abuse, Loses Job

    In one nursing home a former employee claims she was fired from her job for reporting incidents of abuse and neglect towards patients. The former employee began reporting incidents anonymously so she would not be harassed for sharing information or even released from her position. After the reports seemed to go unheard or ignored for about five months, she decided to directly report her concerns about the abuse in the nursing home revealing her name.   Read More...
