Nursing Home Reimbursements Are $1.1 Billion In Excess Of Patient Care Needs
Nursing home reimbursements have become excessive in recent years due to exaggerations in therapy care offered to patients. Reimbursement amounts are increased with nursing home patients who receive therapy. The more therapy, the greater the reimbursement per patient. The incentive exists to push therapy for patients whether they need it or not.
The excessive reimbursements have totaled up to $1.1 billion in recent years. These have come in the form of excessive therapy.
