    An appellate court in one state has ruled that two dementia patients having sexual conduct in a nursing home facility cannot be considered consensual. The patients are unable to make cognitive decisions and therefore are unable to consent.     An assisted living facility has been reprimanded for allowing incidents to go unreported by staff.   • Former Nursing Home Employee Makes Plea Deal For Sexual Assault

    A former nursing home employee made a plea deal after being charged on two counts with sexually assaulting a patient. The former employee was sentenced to 18 months in prison.     Nursing home personnel had to think fast and risk their lives to save patients in the midst of fire. The California fires put the lives of many in dangers and took the lives of others.
