Nursing Home Resident with Alzheimer's Allegedly Beaten by Nursing Home Employee, No Charges Yet
One former nursing home employee may be prosecuted after admitting she injured an elderly resident in her care. According to the police statement, the employee hit the elderly resident in self-defense due the resident’s combative behavior. The resident suffered from Alzheimer’s disease.
The employee admitted to police that she deeply regrets her actions but was “over-worked and tired.” The employee was immediately terminated, according to a state report. For more, read the story.
