Nursing Home Sued In Rising Class Action Lawsuit
Only one year after a for-profit nursing home facility fell under new leadership, a class action lawsuit is rising. With staffing plummeted and patients neglected, the DOH filed many citations following up on numerous complaints. One family that is part of the current lawsuit against the facility lost their loved one due to the facility's lack of care.
My family and I believe the administrators at [the nursing home] have my mother’s blood on their hands because she laid there for days, if not weeks, with a urinary tract infection, because she wasn’t being changed properly, which turned to sepsis,” said a family member of the loved one. “You can be for-profit and still care for the residents.
