Nursing Home Survey Reveals Numerous Deficiencies

A nursing home inspection has revealed various deficiencies by the nursing home to provide quality care to its patients. Deficiencies noted in the report based on the survey inspection included numerous falls by a high fall risk patient in one day and patients eating soap. Other deficiencies included dementia patients allowed to wander through doorways and put into situations of risk or danger to themselves or others, as well as Incidents occurring that went on reported to authorities.

“The visit identified breaches of the regulations resulting in poor outcomes and unacceptable risk of harm to people,” says the newly released report.  Staff at the facility identified shortage of staffing as one of the causes of deficient care. For more, read the story
