Nursing Home Under Survey For Poor Patient Supervision
A nursing home has been cited for putting patients at risk after leaving dementia patients and smoking patients unattended. The patients with dementia were left in a break room near two heaters with potentials for causing burns. The patients that were smoking were left unattended outdoors and in unsafe places for smoking that could have caused danger to others due to potential fire hazards.
Patients that smoked had burn marks on their hands and clothes. The nursing home is now being monitored to ensure they correct the issues occurring and that they improve on the way they recruit their staff. For more, read the story.
