Nursing Homes Fined For Permitting Dangerous Pressure Sores To Develop

One state Department of Public Health has fined six nursing homes for various violations that endangered or injured patients.

In one case, a patient developed a severe pressure ulcer. The patient who was incontinent was at risk for skin breakdown and developed an unstageable deep tissue injury in the lower back.
